The Velvet Room is painted in custom textures and shades of yellow, crimson, and purple with a contemporary, upscale feel. The Room also boasts plum-felted, leather-pocket billiard tables, plush retro-style couches and chairs, a 70-seat dining area lined with custom high-backed booths along one wall and a 30-seat bar that dominates the other, all housed under 16-foot ceilings elegantly draped in purple velvet.

The Velvet Room cuisine draws its principle inspiration from the countries of the Mediterranean. Chef Andy Bechaud offers a complete menu of traditional Italian pizzas, antipasti, and hors d' oeuvres such as Sambucca-laced shrimp, all suitable for sharing. Hearty sandwiches and entrees with French, Portuguese and Italian flair featuring saffron risotto studded with shrimp and Chilean sea bass, plus house-made desserts and a smart wine list featuring Italian varietals round out the culinary offerings.

The Velvet Room leads the way into the 21 century with an eclectic mix of retro-chic atmosphere, fine cigars, cocktails and cuisine. The Velvet Martini heads the list at the bar, followed by single-malt Scotch, single-barrel Bourbon, and premium high-balls. Treat yourself like a VIP in one of our lush velvet booths as you swing to the coolest jazz sounds around at Milwaukee's hippest address.
